14 Best White Granite Colors for Kitchen Countertops

By STEVEN CHOQUET

Lately, the demand for white colored granite has increased. It may be its rare and elegant look, which can brighten up any kitchen or bathroom, or just its amazing color. You may be thinking white is white, but there are so many white granite colors to choose from.

1. Super White Granite

This rare granite is only found in one quarry in Brazil. It has been described as resembling an “icy Arctic ocean.” Only in the United States is the name Super White Granite used, as the rest of the world calls it by its proper name; Super White Quartzite. This white granite is very rare resulting in an expensive price tag. It comes in shades varying from bright white to a very subtle beige or gray color. Once sealed and polished, Super White Granite is absolutely breathtaking.

2. Bianco Romano Granite

Like the Super White Granite, Bianco Romano comes from a quarry in Brazil. Typically white, with gray or brown veins and bits of red garnet, this is an amazing looking stone, perfect for brightening up an elegant kitchen or bath. Especially hard, Bianco Romano is also great for outdoor use. Being so light in color, it stays cooler in the summertime. Bianco Romano has many aliases such as; Blanco Romano, Bianca Romano, White Romano, Nova Branco Romano, Tropical White, and Pashmina. Depending on what fabricator you use, this beautiful granite may be called one of these.

3. Ivory Fantasy Granite

Quarried in India, Ivory Fantasy granite is a great alternative if you want a light color for your countertops but want it a little more subdued. Coming in Ivory color with grayish veins, Ivory Fantasy is beautifully polished. This color granite may limit your color scheme a little more than a bright white granite would, but if you fall in love with it, it’ll make your kitchen or bath the talk of the neighborhood.

4. Alaskan White Granite

This exotic granite is quarried out of Brazil. It gets its name from the white coloring with beige or brown veins that resemble an Alaskan mountaintop. Variations in color go from bright, pure white to beige. Some slabs also contain light-catching pieces of greyish Quartz. This granite is more expensive than most but is unique and well worth the investment.

5. White Fantasy Granite

As Ivory Fantasy, White Fantasy Granite is quarried in India. This beautiful, truly white granite, contains gray and almost black veins. This allows for a stark contrast and will flow with many color schemes. When it is beautifully polished, the shine really catches the eye. White Fantasy gives your kitchen a bright, clean appearance.

6. White Ice Granite

White Ice Granite is an upper-tier granite color. Typically showcased in level 3 categories of stone fabricators and slab yards. This stunning predominately white natural stone is produced in limited quantities. The combination of beauty and rarity make White Ice highly desirable, justifying its hefty cost. The picture below confirms White Ice Granite belongs in upscale kitchens and bathrooms. Vaulted ceilings and an expansive array of windows in addition to unique high-end lighting fixtures combine wonderfully in this open and airy kitchen.

7. Viscount White Granite

Viscount White Granite is a mid-level granite color. Most notably defined by its mix of whites, blacks, and greys. A unique characteristic of this natural stone is its mix of speckled and wavy flowing patterns. Most granites are more singular in their pattern structure. Granite colors like Dallas White and Santa Cecilia feature a speckled pattern. While other options like River White are defined by a wavy flowing pattern. Viscount White offers the best of both worlds and makes for an ideal pairing with Black or White Cabinets.

8. Moon White Granite

Moon White Granite is a level two granite color. Predominately white, with flecks of burgundy littered throughout its surface. The awe-inspiring kitchen below pairs Moon White with rustic natural oak flooring, a clean white subway tile backsplash, and white cabinets. The large island serves as a perfect place for casual dining. Large glass pendant lights sit above the island in addition to recessed lighting. Stainless steel appliances and brush nickel accents round out the design choices for this thoughtfully designed kitchen.

9. River White Granite

River White Granite is the focal point of the elaborate and elegant kitchen seen below. River White looks especially divine when used over long stretches, as is the case with the truly massive island in this kitchen. The budget didn’t seem to be a deterrent here. High-end finished carpentry and cabinetry with glass paneling are noteworthy aspects. Dark cabinetry utilized for the island base offers a beautiful contrast to the many white materials used here.

10. Delicatus White Granite

Delicatus White Granite is one of the more eye-catching white granite colors on the market. This natural stone has a high variance in appearance from slab to slab. You definitely want to pick out your slabs in-person to avoid disappointment. A unique characteristic of this magnificent stone is the snowflake/icicle appearance of the black, grey, and sometimes dark blue mineral deposits. As depicted in the picture below, it pairs wonderfully with white cabinets(main cabinets) and dark wood stained cabinets(island). Despite its unique qualities and beauty, Delicatus White is relatively affordable, falling into the level 2 granite category.

11. Dallas White Granite

Dallas White Granite is a low-variance affordable white granite choice for kitchen and bathroom countertops. If you’re a budget-conscious buyer and have your heart set on white granite countertops Dallas White should be at the top of your list. It might not be exotic, but it’s extremely durable and might be just what the doctor ordered for your kitchen design needs.

12. Aspen White Granite

Aspen White Granite is a classy warm-toned stone. This natural stone features varying shades of the colors white, cream, and grey. The kitchen design in the photo below features dark wooden cabinets, brushed nickel accents. Aspen White is a versatile stone and matches well with other common cabinet colors as well. Black, white, natural oak, and cherry cabinets have great synergy.

13. Colonial White Granite

Colonial White Granite is a low variance mid-tier granite color option. The most common difference between slabs will be the size of the black specks littered throughout this beautiful granite. Some slabs may closely mirror a similar granite called Dallas White, which I like the call the white version of Luna Pearl or Santa Cecilia. The majority of white granites are easy to matches with a large variety of cabinet, and flooring choices. Colonial White Granite offers more of the same in this regard. One of my favorite pairings is dark espresso cabinets. As you can see in the picture below, these two contrasting colors make for a striking kitchen.

14. Kashmir White Granite

Kashmir White Granite is a bright white granite with patches of cream and speckles of brown and burgundy littered throughout. Kashmir White is a great choice for balancing out dark brown or black cabinet varieties. This beautiful natural stone offers limited variation between slabs. The picture below offers an up-close and personal view.

White granite is rare and expensive, as most imported things are. However, if you are really wanting a marble look without the extra care marble requires, many white granites can accomplish this for you. It is always best to inspect your slabs in person or at least acquire many samples to be sure there is a limited variance between slabs. Installed and maintained properly, your white granite countertops are a great investment, as they have the ability to outlast you.
